What is VAWRC?

The Rutgers Violence Against Women Research Consortium (the Consortium) worked collaboratively with interdisciplinary researchers and the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) research scientists to identify, implement, and disseminate research and evaluation projects that fill the gaps in our current knowledge on intimate partner violence (IPV), sexual violence (SV), stalking, and teen dating violence (TDV). The Consortium was housed at the Center for Research on Ending Violence at Rutgers University, School of Social Work. Dr. Sarah McMahon served as the Primary Investigator (PI) on this project and Dr. Judy Postmus served as the Co-Primary Investigator (Co-PI). Click here to watch an overview video of all the Consortium has accomplished!

The VAWRC Consortium project ran from 2016-2022 and we are proud of what the Consortium has been able to produce. We will continue to house the work of the Consortium on this site.
